I wasn't there...and I am so sorry.

My son Haziq uploaded this old photo onto his FB page with a caption, "I wonder where our childhood went"

 

At first I didn't take much notice of either the photo or the caption.

 

Then something struck me...I could not figure out where the photo was taken, or when?

I tried hard to recall...examining the clothes they wore and studying their faces, for clues. My memory failed me. Without realizing...tears flowed down my cheeks. Silent tears trickled down to my lips. The hard truth hit me...and hit me hard. I was not there when they were growing up.
